My professional life is entirely focused on growth: I help businesses startup, grow, and thrive. I help families prepare for the inevitability of life, both good and bad so that their legacies can be whatever they want.
I grew up in a family of business owners, my grandfather started one of Omaha’s largest accounting firms, my other grandfather was a farmer and salesman (like their fathers, both my mother and father have been business owners in a variety of fields from mental health therapy to marketing). I’m an attorney who loves helping families and their businesses succeed.
From the time I was a little kid I was told that I should be a lawyer (mostly because I was really dramatic, and pretty good at arguing with people). That push only intensified during high school when I was an national award winning speaker with the National Speech and Debate Association (formerly the much cooler sounding National Forensics League or NFL). That path had me believe that all I wanted to do was be in a court room on my feet speaking and arguing.
While in college at UNO, I worked for the Nebraska Business Development Center, completely changing how I viewed my goals for the future. Working for NBDC led me to interact with a variety of business types and fueled my desire and for the first time made me think that while I wanted to be a lawyer, what I really wanted was to use the law to help businesses and families not just in the courtroom, but in their day to day activities. By the time I finished law school I knew I wanted a career helping businesses succeed, and helping families ensure that their future generations are well cared for.
As an attorney with years of corporate and business experience, I’m dedicated to serving as my client’s strategic legal partner. Whether you’re interested in starting a business, need assistance with restructuring, or are considering an investment opportunity, I’ll provide insightful and strategic guidance.
I thrive on being a strategic legal partner for my clients and excel at creative problem-solving within the context of the law. My strategic mind understanding and being coupled with my family history of business ownership sets me apart from most other lawyers. To further set myself apart, I make it my mission to understand my client’s companies and their corporate structures to understand their risk tolerance and ultimate goals, so that I can best advise them.
